The Will of John Dunkley late of Little Brington Labourer Decd Proved 19th May 1688

John doesn't appear to have had a wife or child living when he made his will. He must have had at least one child, who married Richard Maning.

In the name of God Amen: April the sixteenth 1681 I John Dunkley of little Brington in the County of Northampton labourer: being of sound memory & remembrance grateful to God for it do make & ordain this my last will & testament in manner & form following.
First I bequeath my Soul into the hands of Almighty God my maker: hoping that through the merritorious death and passion of Jesus Christ my only saviour & redeeemer to receive free pardon & for giveness of all my sins and as for my body to be buryed in Christian buryall at the discretion of my executor hereafter nominated.
Item I give to my Grandchild Edward maning five pounds. I tem I give to my Grandchild Richard maning thirty pounds. Item I give to my Grandchild Joseph maning thirty pounds. Item I give to my Grandchild Elizabeth maning five pounds. All the rest of my stock crops landes & Goodes what soever I give unto my sonn in law Richard Maning & to his heirs for Ever upon condition he shall pay my debts & legacies & I make him whole Executor of this my last will & testament disannulling all other wills & testaments where of I have set to my hand & seal the day & year first above
