Francis King of Harwell - his Will - 9 March 1775

In the Name of God Amen I Francis King of Harwell in the County of Berks Yeoman being weak of Body but of a sound Memory and understanding blessed be God for the same Do make publish and declarethis my last Will and Testament in manner following First I give devise and Bequeath unto my Loving Father Edward King and my Father-in-law Francis Loder Yeoman both of Harwell aforesaid all those my Six acres of [] Land lying in the common Fields of Harwell in a Certain Place called the Grove and also my Eleven Acres of Lease hold land lying dispersed in the Common Fields and Liberties of Harwell aforsd with the appurtanences both which said parcels of Land I lately purchased of one Thomas White To Hold the said two Parcels of Land and Premises with the appurtanences unto my said Father Edward King and my Father in Law Francis Loder their Heirs and assigns for ever, to and for their uses, Intents and Purposes hereinafter named (that is to say) in Trust for my Son Jesse King until he shall attain unto the full age of one and Twenty Years, and then to and for the sole use and behoof of my said Son Jesse King To hold the said two Parcels of Land and premises with the appurtanences unto my said Son Jesse King , his heirs and assigns for ever But I do will and order that my said son Jesse King shall pay out of the said two Parcels of Land unto my daughter Elizabeth King the sum of Fifty Pounds so soon as my said Son Jesse King shall attain unto the Age of Twenty One Years as aforesaid Item I give and Bequeath unto my said Father Edward King and my Father in law Francis Loder all my Stock of Grain that I have now by me and also all my Crop of Corn that is now planted or is to be planted this Year together with all my Chattles and Utensils of Husbandry be they of what kind or quality soever and also all my ready money and Debts due and owing to, and by me to hold the said Stock and all and Singular my said Goods and Chattles above named unto my said Father Edward King and my Father-in-law Francis Loder their Heirs and Assigns for ever, to and for the several uses Interests and Purposes herein after named (that is to say) in trust for my said Daughter Elizabeth King until she shall attain unto the full age of Twenty one years and then to and for the use and behoof of my said Daughter Elizabeth King to hold to her, her Executors Administrators and Assigns for ever, Excepting all my Household Goods and Furniture be they of what kind or Quality soever I do hereby will and order that my Loving Wife Sarah King shall have the same to her own proper use and benefit for ever, Also it is my Will and desire that my Loving Wife Sarah King shall have and receive the Rents and Profits of all and Singular my Lands and Premises above mentioned and all other Profits that may Proceed from my Business of Husbandry so long as my three Children David, Elizabeth and Jesse are with my said Wife towards their maintenance Lastly I nominate elect and appoint my said Father Edward King & my Father-in-law Fran Loder [] Joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament ratifying and confirming this and nominate other to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Ninth day of March in the Year of our Dear Lord One thousand seven hundred and seventy five.
