John Waterfield of Market Harborough - his Will - 27 December 1788

 This is the last Will and Testament of me
John Waterfield the Elder of Market Harborough in the County
of Leicester Sadler As follows /that is to say/ First I do hereby
acquit release and discharge my Son john Waterfield of and
from all and every Sum and Sums of Money he now owes or at
the time of my decease shall be Indebted unto me on any
Account whatsoever may be in my said Son's Dwelling House Indebted Indebted
Give the same to him Also I Give and Bequeath unto my
four Daughters Dorothy Mutton Elizabeth Gibbins Mary
Kendall and Ann Nixon the Sum of Twenty Pounds apiece to be
paid unto them within twelve months after my decease And
Also all other my Goods Chattels Ready Money and Securities for
Money and Personal Estate whatsoever I Give and Bequeath
unto my Son in Law John Mutton In Trust to convert such
part thereof as does not consist of Money into ready Money
and the same with [] ready money I may have by me at
my Decease In the first place to pay my Debts Funeral
Expenses the Charges of proving this my Will and all the
aforesaid legacies And the residue and remainder of the said
Money to divide within twelve Months after my decease into
five equal Parts and one fifth part thereof to pay unto
my said Daughter Elizabeth Gibbins One other fifth part
thereof unto my said Daughter Mary Kendall One other fifth
part thereof unto my said Daughter Ann Nixon and the
remaining fifth part thereof my said Son in Law John
Mutton to keep for his own use And i do hereby give the
same accordingly And Lastly I do hereby make my said Son
in Law John Mutton Sole Executor of this my last Will and
Testament revoking all others by me at any time heretofore
made In witness whereof I the said John Waterfield the
Testator have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this twenty
seventh day of December in the year of our Lord one
Thousand seven Hundred and eighty eighty

John Waterfield the Testator at and for his last
Will and Testament in the presence of use

On the 12th Day of June 1789 John Mutton the
Sole Executor within named was sworn to the due
Execution hereof, & at the same time made oath
that all the Testators Personal Estate at the time of
his Death did not amount in value to the
sum of three hundred Pounds before me
