Anne Goodman of Pewsey - her Will - 1721

 In the Name of God Amen July the 26 1721 Whereas I Anne

Goodman of the parish of Pewsey in the County of Wilts Spinster
do find my self in a very weak and decaying Condition but of perfect
mind and memory thanks be given unto Almighty God therefore calling
into mind the mortality of my body And knowing that it is appointed for
men and women at once to die do make and ordain this to be my last
Will and Testament [] Principally & first of all I humbly commend
my Soul into the hands of God that gave it and my body to be buried
in the Churchyard of the Parish of Pewsey afforesd at the discretion of my
Exrs whom I shall hereafter nominate & appoint Not doubting but that
I shall [] the Same again at the general Resurrection by the mighty
power of my great Creator and ever Blessed Redeemer Jesus Christ
And as touching Such worldly Estate which it hath pleased the Almighty
providence to bestow upon me in this life I give and dispose of in the
following manner and form Viz
Item I bequeath unto my brother Jeffrey Goodman the sum of one Shilling
to be paid unto him within the space of one whole year after my
Item I bequeath unto my niece Anne Goodman the Sum of one Shilling
to be paid unto her within the Space of one whole year after my decease
Item I do Nominate & appoint my loving brother Anthony Goodman to
be my Exr of this my last will and Testament And likewise to have a right
till he Claim &  Interest to the Sum of Three Score pounds of good and
lawful money of great Britain with the interest therefrom arising
which was bequeathed unto my Sister Dorothy Goodman by our father
Henry Goodman as [] the last will & testament of the sd Harry
Goodman with an Obligation bearing date the 25 day of March 1692
to [] the truth of the Same now making null & void all other will or
wills by me made, Ratifying & confirming this and no other to be my last will
and testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this 26th
day of July Anno Dom 1721 The mark of Anne Goodman
