Peter Spackman of Calstone - his Will - 1837

Peter was my 5x Great Uncle.His relationship to my Mother can be seen here.

 This is the last Will and Testament of

me Peter Spackman the Elder of Calstone in the
County of Wilts Farmer made this Eighth Day
of February in the year of our Lord One thousand
Eight hundred and Thirty seven First I give and
bequeath to my two Sons Thomas Spackman and
Charles Spackman the Sum of Five Pounds apiece,
and the Reason for my not giving them more is,
because they have been otherwise provided for by
me in my life time. I give and bequeath to my
Son John Spackman the Sum of One hundred
Pounds I give and bequeath to my Daughter
Mary Ann the Wife of William Little the like
Sum of One Hundred Pounds to and for her own
separate use and benefit, and her Receipt alone
not withstanding her Coverture to be deemed a good
and sufficient Discharge for the same I give and
bequeath to my Daughter Elizabeth Spackman
the Sum of Two Hundred Pounds - All which said
several Legacies my Will is and I do hereby order
and direct to be paid by my Executors herein after
named within twelve Calendar Months next after
my decease All the Rest Residue and Remainder of
my Money and Securities for Money Plate Linin China
Household Goods and Furniture And also my Farming
Stock Estate and effects of what nature kind order
quality the same may be and consist of, and wheresoever
situate and being (after payment of all my just Debts
 
the aforesaid several Legacies my Funeral Expenses
and the Costs of proving this my Will) I give and
bequeath the same and every part thereof unto my
two Sons Peter Spackman and William Spackman
and my two Daughters Dinah Spackman and Ann
Spackman to be equally divided amongst them, share
and share alike And I do hereby nominate
constitute and appoint my said two Sons Peter
Spackman and William Spackman joint Executors of
this my Will And Lastly I do hereby revoke and
make void all former and other Wills by me at
any time heretofore made and do declare this only
to be my last Will and Testament In Witness
whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal
the Day and Year first before written.

and Testament in the Presence of Us
who at his Request, in his Presence,
and in the Presence of each other
have hereunto subscribed our

Peter and William Spackman were sworn as executors of this Will 25th January 1838. Effects being less than £2000
