William Hazell of Wantage - his Will - 19 March 1717

 In the Name of God Amen the nineteenth day of March in the Third Year of the Reigne of

our Sovereign Lord George by the Grace of God King of Great Britain dm 1716 I William Hazell of Wantage in the County of Berks yeoman
being very sick & weak but of sound Mind Memorey Thanks be to God therefore doo make & ordayne this to be my last Will & Testament in Maner & forme
following My soul I Commend into the hands of Almighty God my Creator Hoping thro the Merritts deasth & Passion of my Blessed Lord Saviour Jesus Christ
to obteyne everlasting Life My Body I Committ to the Earth from whence it came to be decently Buryed at the discretion of My Exor hereinafter Named & as or
touching such worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased Almighty God to Bless me I Give & dispose thereof as followeth (that is to say) Impris I Give &
Bequeath unto my two daughters Mary Saunders & Anne Jackson one shilling apeice Item I Give & Bequeath unto My Son David Hazell All those
My Three acres of arrable Land lying in Charltome Field in the Parish of Wantage aforesd with [] To Hold to him the sd Daid Hazell his Heirs & Assigns
for ever Item I Give to My son Alexander Hazell the Sum of Tenn Pounds to be payd to him within One Year next after My decease Item I Give to 
My daughter Sarah Hazell the Sum of Twenty Pounds to be paid to her Three Years next after My decease Item I Give to My daughter Hester the
Sum of Twenty Pounds to be payd to her Two years next after my decease Item I Give to My Grand daughter Mary Saunders the Sum of Five
Pounds to be payd to her Four years next after My decease My will is that in Case she shall happen to depart this Life before her said Legacy
become payable then her said Legacy shall descend & Go unto & among her severall Brothers & Sisters Share & Share alike Item I Give to my Grand
Son Thomas Jackson the Sum of Five Pounds to be payd to him Four years next after my decease & My will is that in case He shall happen to
depart this Life before his said Legacy become payable then his said Legacy shall descend & Goe unto & among his severall Brothers & Sisters Share & Share
alike Item I Give to my Three Grand Children William Mary & Anna Hazell Son & daughters of My said Son David Hazell the Sume of 
Twenty Shillings apiece to be payd to them when they shall severally attaine the age of One & Twenty Years All the rest & residue of My Estate
Reall Personall Goods Chattels Lands Tenements Leases debts Stock Household Goods & other Estate whatsoever I Give & Bequeath unto My 
said son David Hazell his Heirs Exts Ades Assigns for Ever & I doo hereby Make Nominate & appoynt My said Son David Hazell Sole
Executor of this My Last Will & Testament I doo hereby revoke disannul & Make voyd all former & other Wills by me at any tyme
heretofore Made either by Word or Writing I doo hereby Charge all my Personall Estate with & for the Payment of the several Legacys herein
before Bequeathed In Testimony whereof I the said William Hazell the Testator Have hereto set My Hand & Seal the day & year First above
