  Text: In the name of God Amen I Peter Spackman of Nolands in the parish of Compton Bassett in the County of Wilts yeoman being in good Health of Body and of sound and disposing mind and memory for which I bless God this twenty ninth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty nine make and publish this my last will and Testament in manner following ‎(that is to say)‎ First I give and bequeath to my son John Spackman the sum of Fifty pounds to my son Thomas Spackman two hundred pounds to my daughter Elizabeth Ady wife of Henry Ady of Little Somerford in the said county of Wilts the sum of one shilling I having already advanced her on her marriage with the said Henry Ady which several and respective Legacies I will to be paid within twelve calendar months next after my decease Alsi I give and bequeath to my dear and loving wife Betty Spackman the annuity or clear yearly sum of ten pounds to be paid and payable to her out of a Leasehold messuage or Tenement and Mill with the lands and hereditaments thereunto belonging called Scots Mill in the parish of Chippenham and Bremhill or one of them in the said County and which came to me on my marriage with her my said wife the4 same to be paid to her my said Wife during her natural life. If my estate and Interest in the said Messuage or Tenement and Mill with the Appurtanences shall so long continue but no longer or otherwise the same to be paid to her half yearly at Lady Day and Michaelmas the first payment thereof to begin and be made on such of the said Days shall next happen to survive me to be entitled to a Widowhood estate in my Copyhold estate in the Manor of Cherhill according to the custom of the said Manor and the same will after her Death or Forfeiture come to my son John Spackman he being the next Taker Now I do hereby Will ordefr and direct that during the widowhood estate of my said wife of and in the said copyhold Premises my said Son John Spackman shall have receive and be paid out of the Proceeds of my Personal Estate after mentioned the clear yearly sum of ten pounds the same to be paid half yearly at Lady Day and Michaelmas and the first payment thereof to begin and be made on such of the said days as should next happen after the commencement of the widowhood estate of my said wife and in the copyhold premises and of the rest residues and remainders of my Goods and Chattles Monies Securities for money Stock of Cattle Corn Hay Utensils in Husbandry Household Goods and Implements of Household Personal Estate and effects whatsoever after payment of my funeral expenses debts and Legacies I give and bequeath the same and every part thereof to my daughter Mary Buckland wife of Stephen Buckland of Wroughton in the said County yeoman and to my son Peter Spackman to be equally divided between them share and share alike and I do hereby constitute and appoint my said Son and Daughter Peter Spackman and Mary Buckland Executor and Executrix jointly of this my Will and revoking all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made. I do declare this only to be my last will and testament In witness whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament contained in three sheets of paper.
