  Text: Northampton Mercury - 19 March 1808 - To be Lett and may be entered upon at Lady Day next, An old established Butcher's Shop, eligibly situated in Market Harborough, in the County of Leicester, with a Fasting Pen, Slaughter House, Stable, and other Requisite Accommodations for that Business, which is now, and has been for many years past, carried on by Mr John Mutton, in the above described Premises, with considerable Advantage, arising from the moderate fair Profit upon the Favours of respectable and numerous Customers. Further Particulars with Terms and Explanations, will be given on Application to Mr Rouse, in Market Harborough aforesaid.

Show Details Note: This is the Last Will and testament

of me John Mutton of Market Harborough in the County
of Leicester Butcher as follows ‎(that is to say)‎ First all
that my Messuage or tenement with the outbuildings
and appurtenances thereunto belonging situated and
being in Market Harborough aforesaid in my own and
William Hughes occupations I give and devise unto
my wife Dorothy for her life and after her decease I give
and devise the same unto my three Sons in Law William
Walter Philip Bradshaw and Thomas Cooke their heirs
and assigns in Trust to sell and dispose of the same
and the money arising by the sale thereof to pay and
equally divide amongst my five Daughters Elizabeth
Mawby Ann Bradshaw Dorothy Walter Mary Cooke and
Sarah Mutton share and share alike and if any of them
shall happen to die before my said Wife leaving issue one
or more child or children such issue to be intitled to her
deceased mothers part or share and if more than one
child amongst all such children share and share alike and
my mind and will is that the receipt of my said Sons in
Law and the survivors and survivor of them and his heirs
shall be a sufficient discharge to the purchasor of my
aforesaid Messuage or tenement Buildings and appurtenances
for the purchase or consideration Money not withstanding
any miss application thereof afterwards Also I give unto
my said Wife the the use of all my houshold goods linen and
household furniture for her life and after her decease
I give the same to my said five Daughters to be divided

equally amongst them. Also all my other goods and all my
cattle chattles ready money book debts and personal estate
whatsoever and whersoever I give and bequeath unto my said
three Sons in Law William Walter Philip Bradshaw and
Thomas Cooke Upon Trust to sell and dispose of such of
the same as does not consist of ready money as soon as
conveniently can be after my Decease and out of the monies
arising thereby with what ready money I may have by me
at the time of my decease to pay all my Debts whatsoever
my funeral expenses and the charges of proving this my
Will and the remainder of the money arising by the sale
and sales of my said personal estate In trust for them the
said William Walter Philip Bradshaw and Thomas Cook
to put out at interest in their names upon such security or
securities government or otherwise as they shall think proper
and the interset thereof to pay unto my said wife for her
life and after her decease to call in the principal money
and pay and equally divide the same amongst my said
five Daughters but if any of them shall happen to die before
my said wife leaving issue one or more child or children
such issue to be intitled to her deceased mothers part or
share of the said principal money and also of the said
household goods Linen and furniture and if more than
one such child amongst all such children share and share
alike and also my mind and will is that my said trustees
shall not be answerable for any money that may happen to
be lost by putting the same out at interest nor one for
the acts or receipts of the other of them but each for his own
acts and receipts only And Lastly I do hereby make
the said William Walter Philip Bradshaw and Thomas
Cooke joynt executors of this my last Will and Testament
revoking all others by me heretofore made In Witness wherof
I the said John Mutton have hereunto set my hand and seal
this eighth day of february one thousand eight hundred and eight

Will This is the Last Will and testament

of me John Mutton of Market Harborough in the County
