I George Baster of Inkpen in the county of
Berks Maltster being weak in body but by the
goodness of God of sound and disposing mind memory
and understanding do make and declare my last
Will and Testament in manner and form following
that is to say First I will and desire that all and
singular such just debts as I shall owe at the
time of my decease the Expenses of my Funeral
and Testamentary charges shall be full paid and
discharged by the Executors of this my Will Also
I give devise and bequeath unto my two sons
Thomas Baster of Inkpen aforesaid Maltster and
John Baster of the same place Maltster all
that my new erected messuage or Tenement with
the Malthouse Granary Outhouses Meadow Ground
and Appurtenances there unto belonging situate
standing lying and being in Inkpen aforesaid in the
said county of Berks and also all and every other
my Freehold Lands Tenements and hereditaments
whatsoever in Inkpen aforesaid or elsewhere within
the Kingdom of Great Britain To hold the same
Premises with every part and parcel thereof with
their and every of their appurtenances unto my
said sons Thomas Baster and John Baster their
Heirs and Assigns for ever as Tenants in Common
and not as joint Tenants Also I give and bequeath
unto my son Joseph Baster of Newbury in the said
County of Berks Maltster the sum of two hundred pounds and to my son William Baster of Kintbury in the said county of Berkshire yeoman the life sum of two hundred
pounds and to my son William Baster of Kintbury
in the said County of Berks yeoman the like Sum
of two hundred Pounds and to my Son James
Baster of Benson in the County of Oxford Maltster
the Sum of one hundred pounds and to my Son in
law Thomas Mattingley of Inkpen aforesaid chapman
the Sum of two hundred pounds and tmy son
in law Michael Thurller of Inkpen aforesaid
yeoman the further Sum of one hundred pounds
to be paid to them my said Sons and Sons in law
respectively within twelve calendar months next
after my decease And as to all the rest and
residue of my Moneys Securities for Money
Stock in Trade in Husbandry Goods Chattells Effects
Substance and Personal Estate whatsoever and
wheresoever and of what nature or kind soever the
same shall be after and subject to the Payment
of my said debts Funeral and Testamentary charges
and Expenses and the several and respective Legacies
by me hereinbefore given and bequeathed to the
several and respective Legatees I give and bequeath
the same and every part thereof unto my said Sons
Thomas Baster and John Baster equally between
them share and share alike and I do hereby make
constitute and appoint them the said Thomas
Baster and John Baster sole and whoole Executors
of this my last Will and Testament and do revoke
all former and other Wills & Testaments by me
made and I do declare this only to be my last
Will and Testament In witness whereof I have
to each sheet of this my last Will and Testament
contained in two Sheets of Paper set my hand
to the first Sheet thereof and my hand and seal to
the second and last Sheet of this my last Will and
Testament this twelfth day of December in the

Also I give and devise unto my Son in Law
Robert Mattingley all that Cottage or Tenament
with the appurtenances situate in the Little
Common of Inkpen aforesaid and was in the
possession of Robert Cannon To hold to him my
said Son in law Robert Mattingley his heirs
and assigns for ever and I do hereby expressly
declare my Will to be that the said Robert
Mattingley together with his wife and several
children shall have a Residence and being in the same
Farm House wherein I now dwell and that they shall
be supported and maintained by the Executors of
my Will out of my personal Estate and Effects until
the tenth day of October next In witness whereof I
the said George Baster have to this my codicil which
I desire may be annexed to and made a part of my
