Berks yeoman being aged but of sound mind memory and understanding Blessed be God
Do this eighth day of August in the year of our Lord one Thousand seven Hundred and Seventy
make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner following First I commend my soul
into the Hands of Almighty God that gave it and my Body to the Earth from whence it was taken
to be Buried in such decent manner as my Executors herein after named shall think fitt and as
to such worldly goods and Effects where with it hath pleased God to bless me with in this world I give
devise and dispose of the same in manner and form following first I give to my Grandson Edward
King all that my Two acres of [] Land in the [] field above Broad May in Harwell aforesaid
Item I give to my son Edward King all the rest of my freehold Igive devise and bequeath to my
son Edward King his heirs and assigns for ever Nevertheless subject to and charged with the payment
Forty? pounds apiece to Edward Woodly Francis Woodly John Woodly and James Woodly And
also to William Woodly and Mary Woodly ten pounds apiece when of the age of Twenty
one years paying interest for the same after the rate: four PC And as to all the rest residue
and remainder of my personal estate ready money Good and Chattles I give the same to my son
Edward King and my two Nephews John & William King to hold to them their Executors and
Administrators to and for the uses in tents and purposes following That is to say that after
thay have paid my just debts and other my funeral expenses thereout? the then remaining
part to Edward Francis John and James Woodly And also I order my Trustees
Edward King John King and William King to give to every poor man and woman
one shilling and twelve peny loaf and every man and woman that is above
Sixty two shillings and six pence And lastly I apoint and nominate jointly
Executors Edward King my nephews Jn King and William King Executors
of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me
made confirming this to be my last will and testament In wittness
whereof I have set my hand and seal the day and year above written
Sign'd sealed published pronounced and
declared by the Testator Edward King
not to pay no Intress till Twenty one years of
age and for his last Will and Testament
in the presence of us and we in the

Archdeaconry of Berks lawfully appointed by the
Oath of John King the Nephew of the deceased and one
of the executors therein named to whom admins was
granted being first sworn Duly to administer powers
reserved of making the like Grant to Edward King
the Son and William King the Nephew of the said
deceased and other Executors [] in the said will
when they or either of them shall apply for the
same. |
