In the Name of God Amen I Lawrence Hazell of wantage in the County of Berks Clothier being of sound Mind and Memory do this fifth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Five make this my last will and testament in manner and form following First I commend my soul to God who gave it to me and my body to the earth from whence it came in hopes of a joyful resurrection to eternal life through the merits of my Redeemer Jesus Christ and as for that worldly Estate with which it has pleased God to bless me I dispose thereof as follows First [] all my just debts and Funeral Expenses be fully paid and satisfied. Also I give my dwelling house Garden orchard? [] Stables Outhouses Buildings and Premises which I now hold by Lease from the Dean and Canons of his Majestys Chapel of Saint George in Windsor to my Beloved Wife Frances Hazell to [] to her and for her sole use so long as she [] [] remain a Widow and unmarried and also I Give all my Ready Money Stock in Trade household Goods and Furniture together with all my Book Debts Proprietary Interest in the Wilts and Berks canal Machinery Looms Implements and Tools used by me in my Trade to my said Wife to hold to her for ever [] so long as she shall continue a Widow and unmarried Subject nevertheless to the proviso hereinafter contained and from and immediately after her future Marriage of my said Wife or in case she shall not marry again then from and immediately after her decease my Will is that my said Leasehold House Garden Orchard Workshops Stables Outhouses Buildings and Premises and my said ready Money Stock in Trade Household Goods and Furniture Book Debts Proprietary Interest in the Wilts and Berks canal Machinery Looms Implements and Tools and all other my property shall be appraised and valued by two able and qualified persons to be nominated by my Executors hereinafter named and the Amount of such valuation to be divided by my Executors in manner following that is to say In case the appraisment and valuation be made in consequence of the future marriage of my said wife Then I Give one third part of the amount of such valuation to my said Wife and the remaining two third parts of the amount of such valuation to such of my Children [] Alfred Harriet and Henry Share and Share alike But in case my said Wife shall not marry again and the appraisment and valuation be made only in consequence of her decease Then I give the Amount of such Appraisement and valuation to such of my Children as shall then be living to be divided between them share and share alike provided nevertheless that in case of the Future Marriage or the decease of my said Wife my Son Alfred shall agree to pay the full amount of the said valuation to my Executors hereinafter named local? [] and in such case my said Son Alfred shall have hold and enjoyball and Singular my said Leasehold House Garden Orchard Buildings Stock in Trade and all other thge property which I have hereinbefore directed to be appraised and valued and my Executors hereinafter named shall divide such amount equally among my said Son Alfred and my other Children who shall then be living share and share alike But if my said Son Alfred shall refuse to take to the property at such appraisement and valuation then I give the whole of my property to my good Friends Richard Taylor Grocer and Carew? Parker Glazier both of Wantage aforesaid In Trust to sell and to divide the Monies arising from such Sale and disposal equally between such of my Children as shall be then living Share and Share alike reserving to themselves out of the said Monies such a Sum or Sums as shall be sufficient to reimburse them for their Expenses and Trouble in the disposal of my Property snd in the Execution of the Trust hereby reposed in them Lastly I make constitute and appoint the said Richard Taylor and Carew?
