Text:
In the Name of God Amen I William Bracher of East Hatch in the Parish of Tisbury in the County of Wilts do by this my last Will and Testament give and dispose of my Goods Chattles Freehold and Copyhold Estates in manner and form following First I Give to my loving Wife Martha the sum of twenty pounds at my decease and? also the Rents and Profits of my Leasehold Estate at Semley called Bound Marsh and my Freehold Estate at Semley called[] pursuant to a Bond by me given to the Reverend Thos Marchant for the support and maintenance of said Wife Martha after my decease my wife allowing out of the Estates a [] proportion of all rates Taxes and Payments But my Will is that my executors hereinafter named do pay to my Wife Martha Ten Pounds every quarter of a year next after my decease clear of any manner of deductions whatsoever in Lieu of the Rents and Profits of the above Estates during her natural Life and no longer in case my Wife Martha shall nor will not make any claim to the rents and Profits of my other Estates and that my Will further is ---- that my wife Martha do have the use of my dwelling house at Hatch? from the passage westward below and the chambers above and the Furniture thereunto belonging (Excepting the vessells and Beer in the cellar as also the Garden and orchard adjoining the Bees? my little house the use only of the above things during her natural Life or so long as my wife Martha shall continue a Widow and no longer and in place where they now stand in my House so as not to moved to any other House my Will is that my Wife Martha also? have free Liberty of the Brewhouse and the vessells there for Brewing Washing and Water as often as need require as also wood and coal for fireing. I Give to my Brother Edwards four daughters namely Elizabeth Pearce Mary Bracher Martha Bracher and Sarah Bracher the Sum of one hundred pounds to each and every one of them I Give to John Bracher Son of my Brother Edward Bracher the Sum of One hundred pounds go also to the said Johnn Bracher my Leasehold Estate at East Hatch in the Parish of Tisbury called or known by the named of [] during the lives now on that Estate to receive the rents and profits thereof from Lady day next after my decease and not before I Give to the same John Bracher the household Goods that is in my dwelling house at Hatch from the Passage Eastward that is [] only those used and the furniture in the Kitchen Chamber and other Rooms Eastwards Excepting the Books and other things in the Closet the Linnen in the Kitchen Chamber not belonging to the Beds at that end of the House the Looking Glass and Pictures in the Kitchen Chamber the Chest in the closet there excepting also the Pump Furnaces and washing fat in the Brewhouse I give to William Bracher Son of my Brother John Bracher my Freehold Estate at Semley called by the Name of [] to him and his Heirs forever I give also to the said William Bracher my Copyhold Estate in Tisbury during the Life of my Brother John Bracher and after the death of [] and John Bracher I Give the said Copyhold Estate in Tisbury during the Life that is on the Copy to John Bracher Son of my Brother Edward Bracher by virtue of a Sinecure to me granted and a Trust to confirm the same I Give Ten Pounds to buy outside Garments for the oldest and Poorest men and women in the Tything of Hatch as my Executors shall think fit All the rest and Residue of my Goods and Chattels ------------ not before Given my debts and legacys paid I Give to my Brother John Bracher and to his Son William Bracher whom I make joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament dated this 28th day of June 1754 W Bracher Signed Sealed delivered declared to be my last will and Testament in the presence of John Osmond John Combes Susanna Bracher -- Interlined before [] in the 4 line (wife) 5 (that) 8 (my) 24 (Hatch) 23 (the) 26 Chamber. This Will was proved the twenty fourth day of March in the year of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and fifty five before the Worshipful Andrew Coffee Durand Doctor of Laws and Surrogate of the Right Honourable Sir George Lee Knight Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commisary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oath of William Bracher the Nephew one of the Executors named in the said Will to who Administration was granted of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Creditor of the said deceased having been first Sworn Duly to Administerthe same [] to make the like grant to John Bracher the Brother and other Executor named in the said Will when he shall apply for the same
