In the name of God Amen I Elizabeth Iles of the Parish of Hillmarton in the County of Wilts Widow being of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding do make and ordaine this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following (That is to say) first I Commend my Soul in to the Hands of Almighty God who gave it me and my body to be buried in a Christian and decent manner at the discretion of my Executors herein after named And as for my Worldly State I Give devise and bequeath the same in manner Following (That is to say) First I Give devise and bequeath to my loveing Friends William Seager of Highway in the County of Wilts Yeoman and Stephen White of Compton Bassett in the said County Yeoman All That my Freehold Messuage Closes Lands and premises with the Appurtenances thereon to belonging situate and being in Highway aforesaid To Hold to them and the Survivor of them and the Executors Administrators and Assigns of such Survivor from and after my decease for and during the Term of ninety nine Years Upon this Special Trust That they the said William Seager and Stephen White or the Survivor of them or the Executors or Administrators of such survivor shall and may with all convenient speed from and after my decease by the perception of rents and Profits thereof or by Mortgaging the Premises or any part or parcell thereof Or otherwise raise and pay to my Trustees herein after named the sum of One hundred Pounds to be by them placed out at Interest In Trust and to and for the Use and Uses of my Grandaughters Catharine and Mary Iles (daughters of my late Son William Iles) in equall portions and to be paid to them when and as soon as they shall attaine to their respective Ages of One and twenty years together with the Increase and Interest thereof in the meantime And that immediately from and after the raiseing and paying of the said Sum of One hundred pounds so as aforesaid by me given to my said Grandaughters Catharine and Mary (in manner as aforesaid) And the dischargeing the Incumbante if abe made to raise the same Then I Give devise and bequeath my said Freehold so as aforesaid by me disposed of to my Grandson John Iles (Son of my said late Son William Iles) To hold to hime the said John Iles (Son of my said late son William) and to the heires of his Body And for want of such heires I Give and devise the same to my Grandson John Iles Seager (Son of the said William Seager by Elizabeth his now Wife late Elizabeth Iles) To hold to him the said John Iles Seager and to his heires and Assigns for ever I Give and bequeath to my Grandaughter Elizabeth Iles daughter of my said late Son William Iles the Sum of Fifty pounds to be paid by my Executors to my Trustees herein after named within twelve Months next after my decease I Trust and to and for the Use of my said Grandaughters Elizabeth Iles and to be by my said Trustees placed out at Interest untill she shall attaine to the Age of One and twenty Years And my Will is that in Case any or either of my said grandaughters Catharine Mary and Elizabeth (daughters of my said late Son William) shall happen to dye before they attaine to their respective Ages of One and Twenty Years -/-/-/- That the Legacy or Legacies Share or Shares of such of them so dying shall remaine go and be paid to the Survivor or Survivors of them the said Catharine Mary and Elizabeth in Equal Portions And I Give and Bequeath to my Five Grandchildren William Seager the said John Iles Seager Elizabeth Ann and Mary Seager Sons and daughters of my said Son in Law William Seager (by the said Elizabeth his now Wife) the Sum of Fifty pounds apiece of lawful British money to be paid by my Executors to my Trustees hereinafter named within the space of twelve Calendar Months next after my decease to be by them placed out at Interest In Trust and to and for the Use and Uses of my said last mentioned Five Grandchildren William Seager John Iles Seager Elizabeth Ann and Mary Seager untill they shall unto their respective Ages of One and twenty Years And my Will is that in Case any or either of my said Grandchildren [ ] respective Ages of One and twenty Years That then and in such Case the Legacy or Legacies Share or Shares of him her or them so dying shall remain go and be paid to the Survivor or Survivors of them in equall portions And I Give and bequeath to my three Grand children Ann Spackman Mary and Elizabeth daughters of Roger Spackman (by Mary his now Wife late Mary Iles) the Sum of Two hundred pounds of like money to be equally divided betwixt them and to be also paid by my Executors to my said Trustees hereinafter named within the like space of twelve Calendar Months next after my decease to be by them placed out at Interest In Trust and to and for the Use and Uses of my last mentioned three Grandchildren Ann Mary and Elizabeth Spackman untill they shall attain to their respective Ages of One and twenty Years And my Will is that in case any or either of my said three Grand children last mentioned shall happen to dye before they Attain to their respective Ages of One and Twenty Years That in such case the Legacy or Legacies Share or Shares of such of them so dyeing shall remain go and be paid to the Survivor or Survivors of them in equall Portions I Give and Bequeath to my daughter in law Catharine Iles Widow of my said late Son William Iles One Guinea to be paid to her by my Executors herein after named within the space of One Month next after my decease And I Give and bequeath to my daughter Anne Iles the sum of Two hundred pounds of like lawfull money to be paid to her by my Executors herein after named within the space of Twelve Calendar Months next after my decease And I also Give and bequeath to my said daughter Elizabeth Iles All that my Messuage or Tenement and Malthouse and such of my Closes and Premisses to the said Malthouse belonging Situate lying and being in Goatacre within the said Parish of Hillmarton whivh are now in the possession of my Tenant William Chivers To Hold to my said daughter Ann Iles immediately from and after my decease for and during her naturall Life Provided my Estate Term and Interest therein shall so long continue And from and after her decease I Give and bequeath the same to my daughter Mary Spackman the now Wife of Roger Spackman To hold the same to my said daughter Mary Spackman for and dureing all the remainder of my Estate Term and Interest therein that shall be thereof and therein then to come and unexpired And I also Give and bequeath to my said daughter Mary Spackman All such other of my Closes and Premisses to the said Malthouse belonging as are not herein before by me disposed of To Hold the same to my said daughter Mary Spackman from and immediately after my decease for and dureing all the remainder of my Estate Term and Interest therein And I give and bequesth to my said daughters Ann Iles and Elizabeth Seager All that my Leasehold Messuage Closes Lands and Premises Called Haylyes situate lying and being in Goatacre aforesaid To Hold the same immediately from and after my decease to my said daughters Ann Iles and Elizabeth Seager their Executors and Administrators for and dureing all the remainder of my Estate and Interest therein Subject to one Annuity or Yearly rent Charge of Five Pounds Free from all Taxes payable to my said daughter Mary Spackman at Michaelmas and Lady day by Equal Portions the first payment thereof to beginne and to be made on such of the said days that shall first and next happen after my decease And I do hereby charge and make chargeable the said last Leasehold Estate called Baylies so as aforesaid by me given and bequeathed to my said daughters Ann Iles and Elizabeth Seager with the payment thereof accordingly I Give and Bequeath to my said daughter Ann Iles such of my Household Goods as are herein after mentioned (that is to say) All that my Bed Bedstead Curtins and Vallins thereunto belonging called the White Bed which stood in the Chamber over the Brewhouse in my late dwelling house at Witcombe in the said Parish of Hillmarton And one Bed and Bedstead with what is thereto belonging which stood in the Servant Maids room those Chest of drawers and Looking Glass now standing in the Parlour Chamber there One hour Clock and Case One Fire Fork One brewing glassware and Grate thereto belonging six Chaires And one Oval Table in the Parlour there And I Give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Spackman such other of my Household Goods as are herein after mentioned (That is to say) One Trunk and Frame in the Parlour Chamber there One Large Stone for salting and three Cane Chaires And I also Give and bequeath to my said daughter Elizabeth Seager such other of my Household Goods as are hereinafter mentioned (that is to say) All those my two Beds and one Bedstead which I now lye on with the Furniture thereto belonging three Cane Chairs and Oval Table board now standing in the said Parlour Chamber And I Give and bequeath to my said Grandson John Iles (son of my late Son William my Low Bed with what is thereto belonging And my Will is that the severall Beds so as aforesaid by me g my daughters Ann and Elizabeth and Grandson John Iles shall before the delivery of any or either of them be all first Sheeted as usuall All the rest residue and remainder of my Goods Chattles and personal Estate whatsoever I Give and bequeath to my said daughter Ann iles and to my Sons in Law William Seager and Roger Spackman whom I make joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament And I do hereby make Constitute and appoint my said Sons in Law William Seager and Roger Spackman Trustees of this my last Will and Testament And my Will is that if any part of the said Legacies so as aforesaid by me given to my said Grandchildren shall happen to be lost thro' bad Securities or otherwise (without their Willfull default) that they my said Trustees their Exors or Admons shall not be lyable to or Chargeable with the same And my further Will is that neither of my said Trustees nor their Exors or Admons shall be chargeable with or answerable to the Arts or Deeds of the other nor for any more money than shall actually come to their hands respectively by reason of thhe Trust aforesaid And lastly I do hereby revoke disannull and make void all Former and other Wills by me at any time heretofore made and do declare this to be my Last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto Sett my hand and Seal the Fifteenth day of September in the Year of our
